What is the Savannah Business Directory?

The Savannah Business Directory is a "Quick & Easy" source for local business information, in a single comprehensive list.

Why use the Savannah Business Directory?

The Savannah Business Directory, or Savannah Biz℠ for short, was launched in 2005 through the work of a small team of local professionals in Marketing, Administration, and Computer Science. The group realized that large search engines return results of mutiple matches; however, those results do not always return all qualified local businesses, especially on the important first page. In fact, many businesses are somewhat invisible on the Internet because they are obscurred by larger competitors, much like a group photo in which the people in the front row hide the ones in the back rows.

The listings are open to all local businesses; and we encourage readers to "Buy local, Support Local."

This year, thousands of visitors view the Directory each week; and sometimes thousands in a single day.

The main Business Directory is a long illustrious list of Savannah businesses, showing the name, address, and phone number.
Nothing fancy; but interesting and useful.
The Top Tier listings may also include extra information, such as the business tag line, address details, special note, and a hyperlinked (clickable) website link.

The Searchbar on the Home Page is easy to use.
It returns a list of local business from our Keywords database, and also from Keywords in the Google database.
Try typing in a business name, category, product, or service.

Also on the Home Page are links to Popular Category Listings. These Category Lists provide a colorful close-up of many businesses, with Spotlights of a few special ones too. Click any image to view the website of that business.

The real-time Map of local business locations is useful for finding business addresses, and making directions to them.

2025 marks our TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY.
We are proud of our 20 years of dedicated service to the local area; and we look forward to continued service for many more years to come.

We have defined our business model with Dual Objectives:

First and foremost, to provide a quick and easy informational site about Savannah businesses, with detailed listings that are both interesting and useful.
This is the local BUSINESS DIRECTORY service for READERS.

Second, to provide an effective & low-cost Internet marketing solution for local businesses and community organizations, as an alternative to traditional advertising (TV, Radio, Newspaper, and Magazines) or to supplement an ongoing marketing strategy.
This is our INTERNET MARKETING service for BUSINESS OWNERS.

We provide a FREE Standard listing for any and all local businesses owners.

Also, optional services are offered, including a PREMIUM LISTING which gives a business owner more control over the business listing, such as what details and information are shown. Details might include the name of a shopping center it is in, or a cross Street for a more clearly defined location. Extra Information about the business might include years in business, or awards won. The Premium Listing also provides a few extra KEYWORDS for the searchbar, which produces better visibility . The Premium Listing also offers more control over how the business is shown in the Category Listings.

An ADVERTISING option provides a Complete Marketing Solution, with everything in the Premium Listing, plus a few additional features, along with Social Media Services.

Each optional service is designed with the specific goal of generating New Customers.

As an added value to merchants listed, we actively market the Savannah Biz℠ website which continually draws new readers.
